Well I don't want to disappoint my readers so I finally took some pictures tonight. We've pretty much been unpacked since Sunday but I've been busy at night or just plain tired and wanting to sit on my new couches and watch tv or lay in bed and read...lazy I know but I figured I'd keep you in suspense a few days longer. I still have some unpacking to do in our guest room (esp the closet) and some organizing to do for things that are already unpacked (like the pantry and our linen closets). I also haven't hung any decorations yet but I'm hoping to get to that this weekend. However, these pictures give an overview of the Hotel Brockman. I wish all of you could just come visit and see it in person but alas I guess pics have to do...
Here is my mud room (entry from the garage). It has lockers on one side and my pantry on the other.
Here is the kitchen. We love the orange!! I just have to find something cool to hang on the empty wall. I also will be getting a new kitchen table. We are hoping to match the cabinets if we can and seat 6-8 so we can actually have friends over for dinner.
Then here is the living room...
We have to finish installing the correct cables for the tv but then the card table won't be there and I can finish decorating the mantle. I really like our new couches and I'm so glad my big chair fits so nicely in the corner.
From the living room you can see Kenley's toy room. It definitely needs something on the walls but I'm just not sure what. Any ideas?
Then here is our staircase and the upstairs landing...
Kenley's room which isn't pictured because she was sleeping is over on the far left and the door isn't shown here. The door in the back left is my laundry room and then on the right you can see the baby's room and the entry to Kenley's bathroom (which was pictured in the last post.) Behind me is our room and then to the left of that on this side of the stairs is the guest room.
Here is the laundry room...
And what will be baby's room. It looks pretty empty as Kenley is still using the crib.
and then the guest room/office where Clay was on the computer paying bills (gotta do that to keep the new house of course.)
The guest room and closet still need the most help unpacking but I'll get to it.
and then here is the master bedroom...
and the master bath...
I'm loving this huge shower. It's definitely a treat!
And finally here is our closet...
Well that's most of the house. I hope you enjoyed the virtual photo tour. Please know you are welcome to come visit anytime. Book your stay in the guest suite. We would love to have ya!!!

Sneak peek
We started moving Thursday. Well I guess we even did some on Wed night after the closing, but yesterday we did enough that we actually stayed at the house last night ;o) I don't have a lot of time as my mom is out loading up the car again and the internet is to be turned off here today but I thought you would all like a sneak peek...
Here we are bringing Kenley home for the 1st time ;o)
She was all smiles and couldn't believe all her stuff was at that place we always were going to see.
Then here is my FAVORITE kid's bathroom EVER...
and here is the sign of approval from the critics on the "fishy" theme...
Stay tuned for more to come ;o) We are 75% moved and getting settled. It was great to sleep there last night. It's a dream come true and we love our new Hotel Brockman!!!

20 weeks
It's really hard to believe with all the stuff we have going on that we have hit the middle point of this pregnancy. Technically IF I go early I'm over halfway there.
We had our big sonogram on Friday afternoon and my mom came up to go with us again. Grandma B was off camping so she couldn't make it. It was a good appointment. The sono tech was very informative and explained a lot to us. She was also able to get some great pictures. There were a few times Baby B didn't want to cooperate but overall it went well. Baby's heartbeat was 146 and he/she weighed about 11 oz. We measured right on track for 19w4d and a due date of 11/7. We didn't find out the gender so we had a few minutes were we had to look away when she was down in that region. Gotta love a surprise on delivery day!!! Here are some of the pics...
Baby was curled up with it's chin tucked and it's legs crossed as we started...
baby feet!!!
Good shot of the clenched fist/hand
my favorite profile pic...
So today we took our updated belly shots. Here I am at 20 weeks :o) (Looks a little bare in the background as we sold the entertainment center prepping for the big move this week.)
We don't go back to the doctor until 22 weeks and it's a weird appt because I had to schedule it around my doctor's trip back to England for 2 weeks.
Not much else going on for the baby front. Can't believe it's going so fast!

Jumping (sideways)
I have to apologize because I forgot that the video shows up sideways if you take it lengthwise and I was having too much fun to put much thought into my taping style earlier so you will need to turn your head to the side (go left) to watch this. However I promise it will be worth it and should make you laugh at least once. However, please also be warned it may eventually make you dizzy, so please don't fall out of your chair.

T minus...
T minus less than 9 days before the Brockmans will officially own the new hotel. We close at 1pm on Wed 6/22. Really? It's hard to believe given the list of things to be done at the house but the builder set the date so they gotta know what they are doing. If you don't have access to my Shutterfly site, here are some updates... (If you have seen them on Shutterfly then this is prob boring for ya. Sorry!)
WE HAVE COLOR and lots of it. It features:
1. an orange kitchen
2. a purple room for a Stinks
3. A fun bright guest bath that will have an underwater sea theme
4: A relaxing master bedroom color we couldn't have matched to our new bedding any better
and
5. A dramatic accent wall for the fireplace (and the half bath is the same color cause I thought it was pretty)
The rest is a neutral color but we definitely went bold in a lot of rooms. We got coined "The House of Color" by the painters and it took them some extra time as the orange and the plum (called love potion) took 5 coats. Yikes.
We also have a closet good for dancing. Kenley loves to show us her dance moves in her closet and since it's spacious, she requires us all to be in there with her. Here is a video showing her new light up shoes...
There are more updates too but I don't have all the pics. They are finishing off the master shower which is great and they added more concrete to our patio today. They still have a ton to do in my book so I'm hoping more gets done each day we get closer... After all next Wed will be here before we know it!!

Bedtime storytime
My girl loves books and especially books at bedtime after we've had our bath and changed to pjs. We just read and read and read. Maybe its a procrastination tool but whatever it's cute. Our favorite book right now is Puppies in the Snow and we read it at least 3 or 4 times thru. If we don't have it in there she will ask "Puppy?" and then have to go find it before we can settle in for storytime. Tonight we had to have both of our favorite teddies sit on mommy's lap too. My lap is getting smaller as well so this could get interesting as we go along. Often times she wants to take Puppies to bed with her but I weasel it away and sneak out so she can talk to teddies about her day and then drift off to the land of sweet dreams. Ni-Night!

Random
Just a few random updates....
First, the packing has begun ;o) I know it's going to feel like my house is in upheaval over the next few weeks but it will be with it in the long run to be all packed and ready for the big day! I'm just glad unpacking goes faster when the time comes (maybe that's because it's more exciting to unpack, who knows?) We started with the office and packed up the Cardinals stuff and the DVDs. We also hit the closet and got rid a ton of old files/papers that we no longer needed. Now since our shredder doesn't work I have to wait for the next Shred Day at work. Here is the temporary state of the office...
Also, I took some pics last night of my Curly haired girl. She just gets curlier and curlier by the day I think and although it is a bit unruly, it is ADORABLE in my book.
And finally, Kenley got to go to the sprinkler park yesterday with the big kids from the sitter and what was supposed to be a fun time didn't turn out to be so fun. Kenley fell and scraped her knee :o( Poor baby! She actually scraped both knees but the one is worse than the other and is the biggest boo boo she has had to date. I'm sure there will be more boo boos but I don't like em!
So it's Tuesday and it already feels like an entire week has passed. Gonna be a long one on this end.
Tonight Clay and I are running the ceiling fans and such out to the house and I'm hoping to see some paint colors. Our appliances get delivered at the end of the week and it just seems like they have 100 little things to do in the next few weeks.
Hope everyone has a good week!

Another great weekend!
It seems like the short week went super fast which is a nice surprise considering I thought they normally felt longer. But we made it to Friday, and despite both of us getting stuck longer at work on Friday than planned, we kicked off what goes down in the books as another great weekend!!!
Friday we tried to get some of our chores done. I finished the laundry and picked up the house. My mom came to town after work so she could see us and pick up my dad from the airport late Friday night. Had a nice evening and fell asleep on the couch pretty early. Must have been tired.
Saturday we had a lot of fun. We decided mid-afternoon that the best way to beat the heat would be with WATER so we decided to hit the sprinkler park. I hadn't been there yet and wanted to go. Kenley had a BLAST!!! She wasn't so sure at first...
So she stopped and looked around to take it all in...
Then she watched a few other kids to see what it was all about...
and then she went to T-O-W-N :o)
It was such a blast!! She even hit the Park part next to the water to dry off for a bit and she did it ALL: slides, swings, some weird spinning thing, you name it we did it...
After great fun at the sprinkler park we came home and enjoyed a popsicle on the porch.
Saturday night we went a friend's house for a cookout and enjoyed ourselves. Kenley played with her kids and all the other kids there. My friend has a 2 year old and her and Kenley had a log of fun. They were super cute together. At the end of the night before we left, I was holding a little boy (just turned one) and I don't think she cared much for it. Guess she'll have to get used to it this fall when baby #2 arrives.
Today started with rain but it didn't stop our parade. We had an enjoyable morning and some much needed naptime. This afternoon we went to Menards to order our screen door and she rode in the big part of the cart, enjoying every minute. Then because we were bored we decided to take a walk to DQ for some ice cream. Here we are ready to roll ;o)
Clay actually decided to get Kenley a Dilly Bar and man oh man did she LOVE it!! She at the WHOLE thing and with a very minimal mess. It was super cute!!
We stopped by the park on the way home and pushed any hopes of a nap. She did fall asleep for a little bit on the couch while watching Elmo but she was still overly tired tonight and therefore had a bit of an earlier bedtime. I think she gets to go back to the sprinkler park with the sitter tomorrow. Wish I could go too but I have a busy week at work ahead. Too bad the wonderful weekends always go too fast!!!!
